#SMAA 2014: Nominate or Die!

The SMAA initiative is one I am quite proud to be associated with. So, visit the site, nominate or die.

Frankly, that phrase is not mine but one borrowed from a short session where Japheth Omojuwa made a presentation. To quickly paraphrase, he alluded to the fundamental nature of social media in the lives of human beings at the moment. According to him, it is no longer whether you are on social media but how well you use social media.

Hence, those who are not on social media (whom perhaps will have no search results if Google-d) can be termed dead.

Please nominate your favourite brands and individuals for the maiden edition of the Social Media Awards Africa 2014. Meanwhile, do you agree: You’re either on Social Media or dead?
